The reduced-tail-swing 59-horsepower DX62R-3 is the latest addition in the Doosan Infracore North America compact excavator lineup and was on display for the first time at the recent World of Concrete 2020 show.
“This is a sister to our DX63-3 conventional tail swing model,” says says Aaron Kleingartner, Doosan Infracore North America marketing manager. “The dig depth and reach are virtually identical on the two machines, so it gives a contractor a choice between a conventional machine that has a little more lift capacity for craning materials or reduced tail swing for tighter areas.”
Cummins’ B4.5, B6.7 and L9 Performance Series engines deliver on average 10 percent more power and 20 percent more torque across the 3.8- to 9-liter range.
The engines, to be displayed in the company’s Booth S84407 at ConExpo 2020, also have a simpler design with no exhaust gas regeneration, reduced weight and size, and a Single Module aftertreatment system.
JCB designed its new 2TS-7T Teleskid compact track loader for small jobsites that need extra lift, reach and digging ability.
The 2TS is built on the company’s small skid steer chassis. With an operating weight of 9,914 pounds, it can be transported without requiring a CDL, depending on local regulations. It becomes the third member of the Teleskid lineup, alongside the larger 3TS-8T compact track loader and 3TS-8W skid steer.

For the difficult excavation work required, the subcontractor Perforaciones Trujillo is using Epiroc HB 4100 hydraulic hammers mounted on crawler excavators. The Manager, Ignacio Trujillo, and the Director, Juan Monagas, explain that Epiroc hammers represent the best option for the work, thanks to the saving in time and cost that they offer, as well as the total cost of ownership of the equipment, a factor that was also taken into account.
The new PAS 100 HFS and PAS 150 HFS high-flow pumps from Atlas Copco Power Technique are designed for construction, general dewatering and emergency applications, such as flood cleanup.
Both are vacuum prime centrifugal pumps and have Tier 4 Final engines.
The 4-inch PAS 100 has a 49-horsepower engine, produces up to 1,230 gallons per minute of flow and maximum pressure of 71 pounds per square inch. The 6-inch PAS 150 HFS has a 74-horsepower engine, produces maximum flow of 2,250 gpm and maximum pressure of 72 psi.
